Fortuante Youth is a reggae rock band from California. The band started in 2009 with the six piece group maintaining five of their original members. In 2011, the band released their debut album Irie State of the Mind. The self released record, which spawned hits “Love is the Most High,” “Skankin’,” and “Reggae Radio,” made its breakthrough on Billboard’s Reggae chart, peaking at number 13. By 2013, the band came out with their self produced and self released sophomore album, It’s All A Jam. The album topped the Reggae chart, earning the band its first number 1 charting record. The band continued to top the said chart with each album release, their latest number 1 record was their self titled 2017 album. Fortunate Youth also made waves with several live albums, including Sugarshack Sessions Volumes 1 to 3.
