My moon, oh my moon! You know what they say about the moon here in Boise - it shines brighter when the shooting stars are in town! So you know what that means - y’all ready to step into another dimension and go to space?? Ready to get pure with us in our very own heaven?! ‘Cause The Knitting Factory is about to transform on Saturday the 18th when Purity Ring rolls through on their 2025 Place of My Own Tour - hitting stops all along the way from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico, including places like Ventura Chicago Boston and Atlanta - so you KNOW they just had to throw Salt Lake in their for the one time! This run is a big deal for Megan James and Corin Roddick. I mean - they haven’t toured or put out new material in YEARS, and after shaking up the game back in 2012 with their debut hit album Shrines, they’ve built a legacy on bending pop, electronic, and hip-hop into something haunting, surreal, and progressing at every step along the way. Tracks like “Fineshrine” and “begin again” made the way for Purity Ring to redefine electro pop music for us all - making shimmering, eerie, emotional sounds for us all - that somehow always seem to lead to a dance break in the middle… but we so aren’t complaining about that either. Their sound has always been about taking us someplace otherworldly, and now, after years of fans waiting, they’re back with their self-titled album Purity Ring and a tour that feels like a true homecoming.

It’a been a long time since Purity Ring was having a tour - so, if you forgot that they were still around, we don’t blame you! Ten-plus years in the music game and Purity Ring has proven they’re more than just pioneers – they’re survivors of the old “new school” crew, they’re shapeshifters, and innovators!. This 2025 tour is just a testament to that. That they’re not only still here, but stronger than ever when creating together.
