Durand Jones and the Indications is a soul revival group from Bloomington, Indiana. The five piece outfit is led by primary songwriters guitarist Blake Rhein, drummer Aaron Frazer, and singer Durand Jones. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2016. By 2019, the band made their breakthrough on the charts. Their sophomore effort American Love Call impressively entered Billboard’s Heatseekers and Tastemakers chart. The album, which spawned viral hits like “Sea Gets Hotter” and “Circles,” also made quite an impression on the Independent charts peaking at number 11. In 2021, Durand Jones and the indications entered the Billboard 200 for the first time with third album Private Space. The effort also made it to number 1 on the Heatseekers chart, a testament to the band’s rising stardom in not just the soul/R&B circuit but also the mainstream scene.
